To live a longer life a person needs to eradicate conditions which can shorten one’s lifespan. Many reports have been made regarding the power of apple cider vinegar, but can it help to boost a person’s longevity? Experts say yes. How?

Helps with diabetes

In a study published in the US National Library of Medicine National Institutes of Health, the effect of vinegar on blood glucose was investigated.

The study noted: “Glucose response was depressed by 31.4 percent after the vinegar.

The study suggested that vinegar may improve insulin sensitive by 19 to 34 percent during a high carb meal and may significantly lower blood sugar.

With this in mind, it was indicated that consuming apple cider vinegar can help those suffering with diabetes by improving insulin sensitivity.

There have been some experiments on vinegar that have looked at the possibility of it helping control blood sugar levels immediately after eating starchy food, said Dr James Brown, metabolism expert from Aston University.

He continued: “Vinegars are made when bacteria feed on alcohol turning it into acetic acid.

“In the laboratory, acetic acid has been shown to interfere with one of the enzymes that helps break starch down to glucose and studies have shown that adding vinegar to a starchy meal such as white bread can reduce the blood sugar spike that people get after eating it.”

Another way apple cider vinegar could help you live longer is by improving your heart health.

Heart disease is one of the leading causes of death across the globe, and there are several risk factors linked to the condition, such as high cholesterol and high blood pressure.

ACV can help reduce cholesterol and triglyceride levels, which are known to increase the risk of heart disease when they are too high.

Additionally, alpha-linolenic acid (which ACV is high in) has also been found to reduce the risk of heart disease in women. 

Helps with weight loss

When it comes to losing weight, several human studies have shown vinegar can increase feelings of fullness.

Feeling full can lead to eating fewer calories and weight loss.

According to studies, taking vinegar along with a high carb meal led to increased feelings of fullness, causing participants to eat 200-275 fewer calories throughout the rest of the day. 

Another study involving 175 people with obesity showed daily apple cider vinegar consumption led to reduced belly fat and weight loss. 

Improves gut health

“Dairy products like yogurt, kefir, and buttermilk are known for their probiotic traits, but they are also well-known causes of inflammation, and many of us can’t even digest them at all,” explains Jay Goodbinder, founder of Epigenetics healing centre.  

“Apple cider vinegars provides probiotics without the risk of additional inflammation.
